Getting here

Driving along the A14 highway from Milan to Ancona, exit at the Cesena Nord turn-off and take the E-45 highway heading for Rome up to the "Bagno di Romagna" turn off (48 km). From Rome, drive along the A1 highway up to Orte and the E-45 highway up to the "Bagno di Romagna" or "S. Piero in Bagno" turn-off (km 265). From Florence you can either drive along the "Sun" highway up to Arezzo and then get the arterial road 73 up to San Sepolcro and from there the E-45 highway, or (km 150) drive along the historic and picturesque road Firenze - Pontassieve - Consuma - Bibbiena - Passo dei Mandrioli - Bagno di Romagna (km. 88).

Itinerary

Walking: at 3 km from Bagno di Romagna follow southward the provincial road 138 and then the prov road 137, as far as a dirt road on the right. Once arrived at Gualchiere, follow the muletrack to Passo Serra: the wilderness area begins just after the bridge.

Tips
