Poggio alla Lastra is a small country village grouped around the rural church of Saint Peter and Apollinaire at the entrance of valley of "Bidente di Pietrapazza". Once the town was largely populated whereas today it is almost totally abandoned and relies on little farming and tourism: it is indeed one of the main gate to the North slope of the Casentinesi Forest, Mount Falterona and Campigna National Park. An holiday house and a restaurant allow the visitors to enjoy quiet time even in big groups. Well marked pathways and mule treks moreover suite to those who want to hike, cycle and horse ride into the very heart of the National Park.
