Tourist Information Office - Visitor Centre of the National Park of the Casentino Forests
Tourist Information Office - Visitor Centre of the National Park of the Casentino Forests
Completely renovated and inaugurated in October 2021, the new Visitor Centre focuses on the Ancient Forests and the territory of the National Park.
Multimedia and sensory installations help visitors discover the environmental and naturalistic wealth of the Park and the inestimable value of the Vetuste forests. It is also possible to visit the room dedicated to the Riserva Integrale di Sasso Fratino (Sasso Fratino Integral Reserve) to immerse oneself at 360° in the wonder of the beech forest, a UNESCO heritage site, accompanied by the sounds of nature, including the high-pitched alarm of the rare black woodpecker.
There are also models, models and interactive exhibits, which are particularly interesting from a communicative point of view and suitable for school groups and children to learn about the themes.
