The Municipal Library in Bagno di Romagna is located on the ground floor of the Palazzo del Capitano and has 18,000 volumes placed on open shelves and organised into several sections (History, Geography and Travel, Linguistics, Italian Literature, Latin Literature, Greek Literature, Literature, Philosophy, Art, Cinema, Music History, Economics ...). One section is dedicated to detective novels and fantasy; the section of “Local History", covers not only the municipal area but also the surrounding areas both in Tuscany and Romagna. Users have 25 seats available in the four reading rooms. The Municipal Historical Archives are attached to the library and house the administrative documentation of the territory from 1526 to 1944: they may be consulted during the opening hours of the library or by appointment. The library offers services for: consultation of texts and documents, free loans, reproduction for educational use, assistance in consultation and archival research. Consultation and free loan to non-residents and tourists, interlibrary loans. It has 4 Internet stations with free Wi-Fi connection.
