Monumento agli alpini romagnoli di Rondinaia

The monument is placed on the high spur of Rondinaia (579 asl) which rises up at the confluence of the Bidenti di Pietrapazza and Ridracoli. Made up of three slabs of rock coming from the Romagna Apennines and the Alps, theater of the Great War, it is next to the "Rondinaia Alpine Memorial", obtained from the voluntary work of Alpine Romans from what remained of the abandoned Rondinaia church. On the bronze it is written: "These rocks / which saw the birth and death / many black pens of Romagna / are memory and warning: / never more wars. / Rondinaia / 15 June 2003".

BY CAR: from S. Piero in Bagno follow the SP for 14 km. 26 up to S. Sofia, where - at the signposted - take the road to Poggio alla Lastra on the left, which goes up to Ponte di Valbona. Shortly after, at the indication "Alpine Memorial of Rondinaia", you follow on the right another winding municipal road that in little less than 3 km reaches Rondinaia.
