Maestà Batani nella Valle di Becca

It is located along the path "Ponte di Becca - Poggiaccio" of the Val di Bagno Trek (CAI Path n. 185), which from the first bridge along the road of the Mandrioli goes up the valley formed by Fosso di Becca, and arrives near Monte Carpano. The pillar is in sandstone drafts; the superimposed niche in a single block contains sacred images. It reads: "IN MEMORY OF BATANI M. TERESA / SPENTASI IN THIS VALLATA / THE 23.8.1927 IN GIVING LIGHT THE SON GIOVANNI CHINI WHO REMEMBER / PERENNESS THIS MAESTA 'POSE./ANNO 1990". It is located on the edge of a picnic area along the Fosso di Becca.

Getting here

From Bagno di Romagna, take the SP road southwards. 138; after just over 1 km you turn off on the SP. 142 (ex SS.71) which leads to Mandrioli pass; at the first bend, next to a bridge, continue on foot on the right following the path CAI 185 which goes into the Valle di Becca: you meet after 1 km.
