Fontana Lucchi
Leonardo Lucchi's Fountain in Bagno di Romagna
The fountain named "Acqua: fonte di bellezza" (Water: source of beauty) is the work of the sculptor from Cesena Leonardo Lucchi and continues the great tradition of gracefulness. The fountain, which stands at the centre of a roundabout at the northern entrance of Bagno di Romagna and was inaugurated in June 2009, is a truly monumental sculpture with spectacular jets of water inspired by the healing properties of the spa waters of Bagno di Romagna. This large work is composed of three female figures in bronze, created using the ancient technique of lost wax casting, set in a cascade of gushing water that spouts from rocks similar to those found in this part of the Apennines. The fountain, in a natural classical style, is of great artistic value and integrates perfectly with the environment and the site where it stands, that bears many reminders of the events of its history.
Getting there: the fountain is placed on the roundabout as you enter Bagno di Romagna.
