The marble plaque bears the inscription: "IN MEMORY OF PELLEGRINO SCOTTI, ROMANT OF CORZANO FROM 1895 TO 1916. THE CITIZENSHIP SAMPIERANA RECOGNIZING POSE XXVI AUGUST MCMXXIII". It is placed, together with the photograph, on an elegant brick monument surmounted by a finely worked stone capital, along the steps leading from the square of Corzano to the fortresses. Perpetuates the memory of Pellegrino Scotti (Meldola 1844 - Forlì 1916) who for many years was a hermit or a lay custodian of the Sanctuary of Corzano and contributed not a little to making the bleak hill green and welcoming.
