Bagno di Romagna - Bertinoro

Bagno di Romagna - Bertinoro: 61 km

Classical example of a medieval village still intact.
It is located around the fortress, which houses the Museo diocesano di arte sacra (Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art). Owing to its position on a hill that dominates the plain it is called the "Balcone di Romagna" (Balcony of Romagna).
Rich in history and legend, Bertinoro is well-known for its culinary traditions, the spa at Fratta and its monuments.
However, it is especially famous for its wines, well-deserving the nickname of "città del vino" (City of Wine). The surrounding vineyards produce wines with intense aromas, sweetness, strength and fragrance. Among the whites, the various "versions" of the golden Albana and the Trebbiano take the leading role; among the reds, the Sangiovese takes the lead.
The "Colonna delle anella" (Column of Rings) in the main square is the symbol of the traditional hospitality of the town and its inhabitants.
